Where deploy file tomcat server details
Apache Tomcat web server is an open source implementation of the JSP, Servlet, Java Expression Language and Java Web Socket technologies. The JSP, Servlet Java Expression Language and Java Web-socket specifications are developed under Java Community Process. Its light weight but very powerful server. You could download and un-zip tomcat from here. I downloaded Apache Tomcat 7.0.70 version and after unzipping below folder structure got created:
- Deployment of war file should be done inside: apache-tomcat-7.0.70\webapps folder.
- For test please download DynamicWebProject and un-zip war file and copy inside apache-tomcat-7.0.70\webapps folder. To start server go to apache-tomcat-7.0.70\bin double click startup.bat to start tomcat server and type below in browser:
